| COURSE DESCRIPTION | The presentation will address the nature and causes of Terrorism and attempt to address the changes in terrorist motivation, tactics and strategy, which have been evolving over the last decades. Considering the historical perspective, it will address the reasons and logic, which would lead to a terrorist attack. Techniques of risk assessment will be outlined and the principles of Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point Planning (HACCP) carefully discussed in an operational context. Countermeasures strategies, national infrastructure and available federal specialty units will be addressed. |
